The Freedom From Religion Foundation, with more than 16,000 members like you, is the largest association of freethinkers (atheists and agnostics) in the United States. FFRF has been working since 1978 to promote freethought and to keep state and church separate. The Foundation promotes freedom from religion with a weekly national radio show, a newspaper, a freethought billboard campaign and other educational endeavors, including scholarships for freethinking students. The Foundation acts on your behalf over countless violations of the separation of state and church, and has taken and won many significant complaints and important lawsuits to end state/church entanglements and challenge the "faith-based initiative."
Thank you for being a part of these endeavors. Now, with this forum, our members may have more timely access with each other, to exchange ideas, to communicate with and support those on the forefront of our freethought battles, to arrange meet ups in your areas, if desired, and to dialogue with each other, right here on this forum.
All you need to do is to verify that you are a member by registering, agreeing to our terms of use, then simply logging in to give us your take on issues or just enjoy the unique perspectives of your fellow members.
We are aware that forums can be a place where people feel extraordinarily free to express themselves in ways they sometimes wouldn't if they were otherwise in "real life." Nevertheless, the administrators of this forum have put no restraints (filters) on any words that we might consider offensive. We will trust our members' common sense and decency. As you've come to know and appreciate the "spirit" of FFRF, we pride ourselves on our friendliness and good manners. But should a member forget or have a "bad day" we do reserve the right to edit out offensive language. Please limit the discussion on this forum to the purposes of FFRF and do not use this forum for political advocacy or electioneering. (FFRF by law may not be partisan, electioneer or participate in political campaigns.) Comments / opinions of elected officials and national policies as pertain to FFRF's stated purposes are acceptable.
